Obviously, I love all things Penn State if you check out my screen name. Yes, I'm an alumna. I got to stay at the Penn Stater on business for a conference held by my organization. The hotel was accomodating but there were problems with getting the right number and type of lunches for a bus trip. The meeting rooms were all together in one general area which was important to us. — Returning to my guest room at the end of a long day was luxurious. The Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel is lovely. It is a great place to stay and they treat their employees very well. After working there for a semester, the Penn Stater pays for their student employees' books in addition to their pay. Pros:Beautiful attention to design detail in rooms. Plenty of storage, spacious bathroom, well appointed. Comfortable furnishings. The hotel is located in a campus complex and is somewhat isolated, however the area was very quiet. Cons:Low flow toilet was very noisy when flushed and surpising level of sound transmission from hallway and adjoining rooms. If the hotel were full this could have been annoying. … read full review »
