Bottom-Line: The Other Boleyn Girl is adroitly directed and superbly acted, but in the end the movie could not even begin to relay the intricate story of the book in anything close to exacting detail.
Any fan of the Showtime series The Tutors is very familiar with England's King Henry VIII and his torrid affair with one Ann Boleyn that resulting in the young queen being deprived of her head. THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL
I wanted to watch this movie after reading Philippa Gregory's novel of the same name. It was quite a long novel, so I did not watch the movie with the expectations that it would be the same as the book. It was an enjoyable movie, but I think it would be confusing to someone if they had not read the book first.
The movie was about 115 minutes long, not nearly enough time to include everything that was in the book, so certain parts of the story were changed, or left out. I understand that it needs to be done, but I think I would have liked to have had the movie run a little...
I LOVED THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL VERY GOOD MOVIE YOU HAVE BACK STABING, LOVE MAKING , FAMILY INVOLVED , KILLING AND HAPPYNESS!
Beautiful and lush, The Other Boleyn Girl sheds new shadow and light on a familiar story of power, history, and lust. Scarlett Johansson keeps getting better and better at her craft. WARNING: Do not watch with a diehard history buff. They'll ruin it by pointing out the historical inaccurcies. Lighten up! It's just a movie. A very gorgeous movie! Afetr watching it I had to read the novel.
" The Other Boleyn Girl " is a very great movie to watch. Its just great! its a great story line and I watched it time after time.
I think that the king was a very greedy selfish man who couldn't keep it in his pants...and because of that, he was betrayed by Ann.
