The Oprah Winfrey Show Review Summary

While many reviewers still feel The Oprah Winfrey Show is "a class act all the way," the daytime talk fest is beginning to lose fans. Some want Winfrey to know it's time to pack it up and "quit while you are ahead" making light of her public weight loss struggles. Some note that while she talks of others' struggles, "her diamonds get bigger and bigger." The Oprah Winfrey Show's die-hard fans feel they are on a one-on-one basis with the host, as they have laughed and cried with her, and now come home, finding Oprah on their DVR, "curious to see how [she'll] inspire me next." Through her show, Oprah has become a "fabulous role model for us all." They feel she "exhibits a deep commitment to improving the human condition and goes right to the heart of whatever matter she's covering." Even Dr. Phil was inspired by "the queen of talk shows," developing his own show after being featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Dear Oprah, We've been friends for many years now. I've laughed with you and cried with you. I know your strengths and weaknesses. You taught me about Darfur, and provoked me to research a myriad of other issues. You've also turned me on to some great books and music. When I come home to find you there on my DVR, I'm always curious to see how you'll inspire me next.

With the exception of the Discovery Channel kind of stuff, I never watch TV.  Help me out here. There are 8 gazillions channels and nothing on.  You know what I mean.  However, I have only positive things to say about The Oprah Show.  The most important thing to me about this show is that in the history of entertainment television, to my knowledge, no one before Oprah had ever used the power of television for a common good.  Of all the talk show hosts, she was the first to turn the attention of the viewers to charity and larger issues on self-improvement and awareness.  And her show could...

Oprah certainly has come a long way over the years.  I've come to notice how every one that is in the audience shown on TV has had their make up professionally done..hmmm...a lot of time and effort  obviously goes into the taping of each show and Oprah runs the show.  She has no qualms about interrupting a guest when they are talking to say what she wants to say yet she also has touched many lives and brought up many subjects that are or could be danced around especially when it comes to violence, racism and pornography.  I feel she could do and give a lot more with her resources and money... read full review »

Oh Oprah. You are so inspiring. You've lost a person in weight and gained it back and then lost it again, all before our very eyes. How very human of you.

I appreciate all that you have done for humanity, Oprah, but the most important thing in life is knowing when to say when (hasn't your dieting taught you this?). It is so wonderful that all your movie star friends come to your show and talk to you, and you do a show about your school in South Africa - why didn't you open a school in the US? - and you give lots and lots of stuff away, but it seems to me that you are getting to be a bit maudlin....

I have to say I just don't get it. Oprah does alot for people in need and thats great but aside from that she is doing the smae topics over and over and over. It's like watching jerry springer not very entertaing and you know how it's going to end every single time. I just want something new and refreshing and I'm afraid I just haven't found it with Oprah. I'm not against the woman being on the air or the things that she does for people but she's not a god, and if I had that kind of money I could spread it around too. She really isn't doing anything but taking our money and giving it to these people.... read full review »

The Oprah talk show is my all time favorite talk show. I love everything about it!  She has good imformative shows. She is a really good person also.  She helps everyone out. She is so kindhearted and sweet. I would love to meet her. I would love to go on the show also. Especially when she has a show called Oprah's favorite things! That's when she gives the whole audience things she loves!  have seen things on there i would love to have. She definately deserves where she is at in life! She has worked hard for it! She is awesome!

Some people may focus on Oprah with a (jealously) critical eye ... while all I see is reason to be inspired.  Here's an intelligent, determined, and hard-working woman with a persistent vision of greatness who would not allow humble beginnings or cultural biases to arrest her dream.  She exhibits a deep comittment to improving the human condition and goes right to the heart of whatever matter she's covering.  This woman walks her talk and does a great deal of good in the world ... more than most can claim!  I admire and respect this woman and wish her (and the rest of us) many more years of... read full review »

The Oprah show has denfintely gone down hill since her self esteem has gone too high.  The other day when Celine was on, she had in the background "Oprah and Celine".  Can Oprah sing now too?  Love Dr. Oz...very intellligent M.D. with great ideas.  Oprah referred to those suffering from bipolar disorder in a very inappropriate way.  "Maurice, you are bipolar?"  No Maurice has bipolar.  And since she was recently diagnosed with hypothryodism it would be like saying "Oprah you are hypothroidism?"  I have no respect for the women what so ever.

AHHHH! oprah thinks the whole world should revolve around her and that every opinion she has on somthing is automaticailly carved in stone. she is a sad woman and i have pity on her. she needs to get a life and get herself together. she needs to get herself to Jesus before its too late. her show seems to put on the same old thing all the time too. it gets very tiring and very annoying.

The day that Oprah denounced that Jesus Christ was NOT the only way to Heaven, I denounced her! I have completly boycotted her. I hope that everyone who see this video will do the same. Just go to Youtube and type in "Oprah Denies Christ"

Oprah Winfrey is the queen of talk shows.  Each episode of her show is not only inspiring but will teach you lots of lessons about life.  Many episodes feature real people that have overcome so many obstacles to tell their story and you will feel warmed in your heart after watching them tell their tales.  Some episodes show Oprah in action, whether it is building homes in New Orleans or helping a family in need, she is a leader of our society.  I also like that she has a great balance between real people and celebrities.  She offers in depth interviews with your favorite stars of movies and... read full review »

Talk show host, "Oprah Winfrey" is showing no signs of slowing down these days.  Oprah is waring yet another hat, as she now lends her support to campain with Senator Barrak Obama's as he makes his run for President. 

It's a show down between Oprah, and former President Clinton, to see whose pressence will have the most impact as they campain for their candidates.
