This movie is awesome!! I remember watching it for the first time when it came out and not moving any part of my body. I was so mesmerized by the animation, characters, and the songs. The score by Danny Elfman is fantastic! The songs the characters sing through-out this movie are just amazing. I have been watching this movie for as long as i can remember. Yes, it is disney but you definitly wouldn't think so. Director, Tim Burton, did fantastically. No one can think like him. It is only partially a love story. It really turns into what ever story you want it to be. It's a story of love, of selfishness, of someone doing what they want to do by putting there mind to it. It's a story of the ruler of Halloween becoming the king of Christmas. It's a story of discovery of ones self will and how wrong it can be. I love this movie, it's such a dying art (stop motion) and it's at it's best here. I just saw the 3-D version in the theater and it was awesome. It was so great to see the movie in the theater and all these years I saw it once when it was originally released. I recommend this for anyone. The movie, Nightmare before Christmas was stunning! The special effects were awesome. It can be a little scary for very young children but it is definately a movie for the whole family.
