The New York Times Review Summary

One of the most widely read newspapers is the New York Times and it serves as the definitive news source for many readers. Reviewers like the authority of the New York Times and they feel they are getting the important news of the day. Reviewers also appreciate the investigative reporting and excellent journalism of the New York Times. “Great News Information”, says one reviewer, but there are others who dislike the New York Times immensely, like one reviewer who says the newspaper is “Way too Opinionated- Has an Agenda it Shouldn’t Have for News”. These negative reviewers feel the New York Times is out of touch and too biased to take seriously as a news source. The overall consensus is that the New York Times is a good Newspaper but that it may not be the most objective source of news available.

I have been reading The New York Times my whole life.  Along the way I supplemmented it with The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Chicago Sun Times, The Chicago Tribune and The Wall Street Journal.  Today, I still subscribe to the last three.  However, I believe that the The New York Times has the...

This has got to be the worst newspaper in America.  With a diminishing readership (less than a million) it is amazing people even still refer to it at all.  It is completely out of touch with the American people.  The articles are totally slanted towards a very liberal political point of veiw. ...

I always start my day with reading the newspaper, but I hate reading the entire issue and not having any good news or not really learning anything.  New York Times is the best newspaper I have found because they cover stories from all over, and you will find all the information you need.  They thoroughly cover the topics and offer great information on the latest events.  I love the lifestyle section that offers reviews of books, movies, tv and a great crossword each day.  They offer a great sports section and financial quotes and business news.  This is a great newspaper to splurge on to read... read full review »

As a 21-year-old communications and political science student in New York City, picking up The New York Times is like having my morning cup of Joe. I can't function without it. Yes, I know what you're thinking. The Times is my bug zapper. I am its firefly. (Although you must admit, there's nothing quite like the luring smell and feel of crisply painted gray pages.) Well, I've set aside my personal ties, and have taken a closer look at what the NYT is pushing. All I've found is that The New York Times does precisely what the institution claims. It produces "All The News That's Fit To Print."

One...

I live in San Francisco but subscribe to the New York Time because of the quality of the writing, the coverage of international issus and the strong literary sections. As more and more newspapers slice budgets, cutting out editorial, international and literary coverage in favor of wire  coverage, the NYT is consistently good. I always look forward to T, the magazine that is published frequently. This magazine is based around a different theme each time, past themes include Fall Fashion, gifts, men's fashion, home design, travel. The weekly magazine is very interesting as well and covers a variety...

What would a day be without the New York Times? Even if you forgo the news itself, there's books, theater, film, art, dance, music, food, travel and more. A great, world class newspaper that should be available to every high school student in America. Each day has a special section devoted to one special topic. Wednesday is Food and there are always great recipes as well as wine and restaurant reviews (mainly NYC restaurants, of course). Special culinary subjects are covered in depth and with great insight. Friday is a special entertainment section,  with many film reviews (including many you... read full review »

I gave an assignment to 2 Indian Consultants working for me a few years ago.

They wanted to get my input into how they can be successful in America.

I told them to only speak English in their homes and read the Weekend Edition

Of the New York Times From Cover To Cover not skipping anything.

Today both are heads of fortune 500 companies, married, and have familes.

In my own way I gave these men the American Dream Secret.

With the simple instructions above.

I adore the NY Times, and not just because of its fiendishly difficult crosswords.

Of course you can get all the latest world and national news, but the paper also has interesting science and style coverage -- it's as good for the fluff-reading crowd as it is for the serious-minded.  I sometimes think of this as the NY Times's secret super power: it makes you look smart to read it, but it's actually a lot of fun!

The online version also has cool audio slideshows.

I don't have a lot of time so I pick and choose what stories or magazines I take the time to read. The New York Times is the best for indepth coverage and their Science section on Tuesday is a must read cover to cover. When we travel, I always look to the New York Times for national news. While I like USA Today for entertainment news anmd weather while traveling, the Times is a paper to read or to spend as much time with as you can.

I love this newspaper and it is one of the only ones left around. I strongly advocate getting a subscription to the New York Times at least for the "weekender" portion. It's an excellent Sunday paper to say the very least and they have one of the best magazines.

The new york times is a guilty pleasure. I get all the news I need whether it relates to politics, finances, heath, real estate or travel. Simply the most authoritative. I use it as my home page so I never miss beaking news.
