Most HelpfulThe Nanny Diaries got generally mediocre reviews, but it seemed like it could be good. I'm glad I went with my gut on this one, as the film was really entertaining. Apparently a park is a great place to look for a nanny. This is where Annie begins her new, if not bizarre or qualified career as an upper Manhattan nanny. What was supposed to be a summer long thing-to-do, turns into a life hard to live. Despite a miserable living situation and a vicious set of employees, Annie falls head over heels in love... for Grayer (aka Grover) the six year old boy Annie watches, or should I say raises.

All of the neglectful mothers out there need to watch this one.
There is nothing wrong with having a nanny and especially
nothing wrong with having one that loves your child
but pawning your children off 24 hours a day
and being annoyed with them when you are spending
time with them is not okay and this clever movie
opens those moms eyes brilliantly.. the book was good too
This book was a very honest account of what it is like to be a nanny for the uppercrust in manhattan. It was realistic and well written. It had some great moments, but also really made you feel what the authors experienced in this vocation. It was such an easy light read that I couldn't put it down. I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't really give a comparison, but I would highly reccomend this book!
