Our stay at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas was bitter-sweet. The woman at the front desk was wonderful...we got a beautiful room with an incredible view and by far the best room we've had in any of our stays in Las Vegas. However, our overall experience was not good and I don't think we will stay there again. For one reason we felt the food and drink prices were completely unreasonable. We paid $40 for a sandwich (which was quite small) and two pops (room service). We went to the deli to have breakfast, all we had was two small bowls of fruit, two bagels with cream cheese and two coffees, and a waiter that was less than friendly and the bill was $32. Money is not a problem for us but being taken advantage of is. Secondly, my husband sent his suit to be pressed and they lost it. Yes the suit was found but the stress it caused was unbelievable. We had plans with another couple that was staying at the hotel plus we had early dinner plans for the next night. We sent the suit in plenty of time to be back when it was supposed to. We even asked the bellman and he said it would be back in time. I started calling at 7:30 that evening and the run around I got was unbelievable. This nearly ruined the plans for two evenings because the gal on the phone told me that we would get the suit back the next evening at 7:30. I called the front desk and that gal told me there was nothing she could do for me. That upset me even more. I finally got to speak with the supervisor after several phone calls and finally going down to the bell desk and demanding to speak with him. He was the one who finally found the suit which had been sent to the MGM he brought it up to us by 9:00 and saved our evening. All that we were offered for this horrible inconvenience was no charge on the pressing. I felt we should have been atleast offered a dinner or something.

Entertainment: Short Walk, For shopping, the Fashion Mall is a short walk away. Free entertainment is within walking distance at the volcano at Mirage and the Ships at Treasure Island.
