The Londoner - Bradenton, FL —

The Londoner B&B is a Best-Kept-Secret . . . but not for long!
I just "discovered" Bradenton, Florida (just south of St. Pete and north of Sarasota) when sent there on assignment.   With a killer waterfront location, walkable downtown and world-class museum, this small city has a lot going for it.  It's a great place to enjoy a quiet weekend in a new environment.  What changes the weekend from nice to spectacular, however, is a brand new B&B called The Londoner.

Run by a friendly Brit couple who are not new to the hotel business, The Londoner B&B is in a large historic home near the riverfront.  Each room has been named for a subway stop and luxuriously decorated in tribute to someone who lived near that stop.   The Kensington Room, for example, is adorned with Princess Di photos and memorabilia.  Each lovely room is extremely well done, and luxurious . . .  wonderful beds, soft linens, gorgeous wall colors, thick robes, handsome furnishings, crisp white baths.  You are going to be COMFORTABLE.

High tea is lovely, as you can imagine, and breakfast is also divine.  Jennifer, the charming owner, is gracious and friendly and makes her guests feel right at home.   The inn itself  lends itself perfectly to girls' getaway weekends......and romantics are going to love it there as well.

I predict nothing but success for this lovely B&B, and hope to get back there soon!

The Bottom Line:  Libby Loves It!
