Mimzy was a little bit creepy.

My Opinion of The Last Mimzy
I'm not sure why I expected something totally different, but I did and we were disappointed with the movie. It was actually about a creepy doll and magical rocks that were alien in nature. The little girl has supposedly been chosen to save the alien by figuring how to build a bridge back to its home. It becomes a matter of national security, but that isn't enough for the parents to realize that something strange is happening to their kids. The adults in The Last Mimzy are slow to catching on to what is going on. Somehow the kids have better instincts than they do.
My boys are 5 and 9. The younger one barely sat through the movie. it did not hold his attention at all. My older son was interested in it, but had a lot of questions and was confused at several points during the movie.
It wasn't necessarily a bad movie, but it was not what we expected. There are better family movies available, but if you are into aliens and sci-fi, you might like this one more than we did.
