This book is just beautifully written about two young friends and the turn of events in one day that effect the boys for the rest of their lives. It was fascinating to learn about Afghanistan pre-Taliban, even though it was a work of fiction. This was definitely one of my favorite books. His other book was good, but not nearly as good as this one! If you get the opportunity, definitely read it!
