The story of two small boys and their intense bond for each other will move you and warm your heart with its familiarity of childhood friendship and its childhood innocence. "The Kite Runner" chronicles the lives of two friends who grow up in war-torn Afghanistan who eventually get separated by two polar existences - one in Afghanistan and one in America. The movie's storyline, spanning beyond oceans, will leave you with a sense of sadness for the childhood innocence that can not last. But the hope that arises from dashed dreams and regrets is reconciliatory. This is a must-see movie for the whole family. It conveys the eternal bond between friends that survives the ravages of war and violence. But most of all, it conveys the eternal salvation of hope.
