The Kimberly Hotel - New York, NY Reviews

The hotel was not able to get us in our room when we first arrived at 11:30 am, which was our only disappointment. We had to change clothes in the bathroom down by the lobby. Despite this The Kimberly was very enjoyable. It was wonderful having a refrigerator/kitchen/coffee pot in the room for convenience. The separate bedroom and living area allowed space for everyone. The bed and bedding were the best part of our stay. After walking all day in NY we were beat by the end of the day. It was a joy to sleep in the comfortable bed with luxurious bedding. The hotel was wonderful. People who work there were very bright warm and accommodating to our needs. Felt very welcomed and liked. The Kimberely is smartly decorated. A luxury hotel. Clean. Besides the staff, my favorite thing about the hotel was the bedding. A soft Down comforter, softsheets, all the many pillows, richly comfortable. Also we recieved a paper daily, the kitchen was clean and with new furnishings. Is was as good as being at home in regard to decor, comfort and cleanliness. Loacated within walking distance of everything we wanted to do and see. Directed to wonderful restuarants by a staff who listened to what we wanted and knew the area so well they sent us to exactly the right places. Room was very clean, well appointed dnd "ronantic". All of our needs were honored like we were not disturbed if we put out the "do not disturb" sign and our room was promptly cleaned when requested.Dining: Short Walk, There's a great Irish Pub just down the street with wonderful food and a great crowd. The Kimberly Hotel staff was very helpful and unobstrusive. The room was clean, well-appointed and very comfortable. The queen-size bed was very comfortable and the linens luxurious (lots of pillows!). The kitchenette had whatever we needed (not much for us, but had cutlery, glasses, corkscrew/bottle opener, etc.) and was a nice feature. The bed alone is worth the stay!! I heard it in the earlier posts and it is true!! Only complaint is our "balcony" view, was of the roof of nearby building and the building nextdoor about 100 feet away... not worth being out there... But EVERYTHING else was fantastic... This hotel was impressive for Manhattan. The size of the rooms are really large for New York, incredibly clean and in a fantastic location near the 6 train. The beds were really comfortable too!
