The Incredibles Review

The Incredibles has raised the bar for all animated films.

This Disney Pixar film tracks the life of a family of "Supers." Due to many law suits the superheros have been forced to live a 'normal' life, pretending to be like everyone else. The movie deals with the way that everyone in the family struggles with their dual life. While the movie reaches children with the message of "Be yourself," and "You are special the way you are," just to mention a couple. There are deeper themes that children will miss but that will reach adults. These themes deal with failled mentorship and what can happen when a person is forced to live an unfulfilling life.

The movie is filled with some of the best animated action sequences I have ever seen and is accompanied by one of the best movie scores I can think of. I went into this movie expecting it to be a disappointment and left with an new favorite movie. Producer Brad Bird is truly a genius.
