The Hills Review

It all started years ago with Laguna Beach.  I feel in love with the drama that went on and all of it seemed to surround Lauren, a young rich teen who seemed to have it all.  Well, she sure had a lot, but even those who have everything can still have a lot of problems!  At one point Lauren moved away from Laguna Beach and the show became... dull.  I liked Lauren!  She was a very nice girl who seemed down-to-earth even with the fancy lifestyle she was born into. 

Eventually Lauren moved to The Hills, also known as Los Angeles.  Yay!  Another new place where I can follow the lives of these people.  Lauren is the star of this show that has been going on since 2006.  She's studying fashion and works for Teen Vogue.  Her job brings us to a lot of interesting events and duties which I really find interesting.  These are things I would never get to experience in real life!  Have you ever wondered how a big fashion show full of famous people is run?  I don't have to wonder anymore because I saw it on a recent episode :)

Whitney is Lauren's coworker who has recently been promoted to a full-timer at Teen Vogue.  She has a lot of responsibility and I get quite stressed out at some of her duties throughout the show!  Imagine hoping on a plane to New York to pitch an idea to a designer and coming back within a few days.

Audrina is Lauren's current roommate and she is also a really nice girl.  In fact, Whitney, Lauren and Audrina all seem like very sweet people to me.  Sure they have their moments, but don't we all!  Audrina works at Epic Records I believe which means she gets to scout out artists.  I find the aspects of her career very fun to watch, but boy I cannot stand her non-boyfriend Justin.  He's pretty gross (as in dirty).  I don't know why she likes him but let's not get off track here.

Then there's Drama... I mean Heidi.  She has an awful, ugly, jerky fiance who is seriously the most child-like, stupid guy I've ever seen.  Heidi's head was turned around by Spencer and he managed to completely destroy the friendship of Heidi and Lauren.  Since then, Heidi has shown herself to be quite a jerk herself.  But is this really Heidi that is a jerk? or is she just doing things because of Spencer?

This is why I watch!  This, and also to see if Lauren, Whitney and Audrina find love.  Of course, I also enjoy getting to see all of their jobs behind the scenes.  Due to their careers, these girls get to dress up a whole lot and I love seeing all of the pretty dresses they wear.  The final reason to watch?  These chicks manage to go on a lot of vacations!  I get to see places I never would have been able to visit, or at least not very easily.  Sure the show seems to be edited oh so nicely, and some things seem very un-realistic, but hey, it's entertaining!  Best of all, after the show you can go online and discuss with all the other fans :)  Check it out on MTV or rent the past seasons of Laguna Beach and The Hills to get all caught up.  Enjoy!!
