We were within walking distance of great resturants and shops. WE Loved S.N.O.B.(Slightly North of Broad). The Harbour Park was across the street filled with paths for walking and biking along the water. The trolley stop was just outside the front door. Two main trolleys used this stop and could take you to all other main attractions in the city such as The Market, the Aquarium , and the Battery. The beds were comfortable and rooms spacious. The refreshments during the day were nice-wine and cheese, cookies and coffee... An expanded continental breakfast was available and could be delivered… read full review »

The only drawback for a fitness conscious traveller that I am, is that, this hotel did not have a fitness center. Inspite of the fact that there are no resturants on site, the hospitality of the staff, cleanliness and overall attractiveness of the facility more than compensated for the lack thereof. Oh, the definitive comfortableness of the bed and pillows further enhanced my positive experience. Also, one of the front desk staff is the perfect compliment to the front desk experience. Hope he's duty when you visit! He was always very friendly and helpful answering my numerous questions and… read full review »

I enjoyed my stay at the Harbour View Hotel very much! The staff was warm, friendly, and accommodating! They knew who we were and remembered our personal likes and wanted to ensure that we were well taken care of. The hotel offered a very nice continental breakfast as part of the package, as well as tea time, and wine and cheese in the late afternoon. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and peaceful. The bathroom was a good size with lots of towels and toiletries. The hotel was well situated in Charleston fronting the harbour and a block from the city center with excellent… read full review »

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Harbour View Inn. From the moment we checked in the hotel staff was amazing. The staff is very service oriented. Every need was met quickly and courteously. Everything was exactly as the hotel advertised. The room was large with fine furnishings (we even had a gas fireplace in our room!) and a whirlpool tub in the bathroom. The bed was a tempur-pedic mattress with fine linens. The towels and amenities were first-class. Breakfast was great and served in our room at the time we requested. Downtown Charleston, the Marketplace, dining, shopping and… read full review »

The Harbourview Inn was the perfect place for my husband and I to spend our honeymoon. The hotel has a beautiful view of the harbour and is within walking distance from everything. And I mean everything- any tour you may want, all of the downtown restaurants- we never drove anywhere except to the beach. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable- we loved the down pillows! There was plenty of space to hang clothes and they provided two suitcase stands as well. The staff was very friendly and were very hellpful in helping make our daily plans. Overall, it was a fabulous… read full review »

HArbour View Inn, Charleston SC is a wonderful hotel located close to shopping and restaurants. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was hugh (we have stayed at other hotel in Charleston and most of them are tiny with little room to move)The afternoon wine and cheese reception is a great way to meet other guests, and the continential breakfast, which you can have served in your room or relax in the lounge, is wonderful. Warm pasteries, fruit and delicious coffee. We will definitely be staying the next time we visit Charleston. Extremely convenient with shopping, tours… read full review »

The location was excellent and it was a classy hotel. Room was very clean and staff was professional. As a businesswoman traveling alone I felt safe both at the hotel and coming and going to events. I liked the downtown feeling of the property. I am a snob about furnishings and bed linens. The hotel was up to snuff on both counts. The front desk personnel were helpful in making dinner reservations and giving directions. If you were bringing a family you would probably miss having a pool but it didn't matter to me since I was on business.Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, It is a… read full review »
