The Hangover Review

I was really surprised when I went to see The Hangover. I was expecting a typical silly film (i.e. Old School, Austin Powers) with lots of sex jokes and not much plot. In the beginning of the film, I was wondering if I had made a mistake as I am not a fan of stupid comedies.

Then, suddenly, the guys went to Vegas and I found myself actually laughing out loud. The plot centers on a man about to marry the love of his life and he goes to Vegas with his buddies for a bachelor party. The bride's quirky brother tags along as well.  

The clever thing about this movie is that you don't actually see them partying--just waking up the next morning to chaos. As the movie unfolds, it is learned that they had drank roofies and do not remember anything about the night--and to make matters worse, the soon-to-be groom has gone missing. The three men try to piece together the evening little by little and as they do certain oddities are explained. (The dentist wakes up missing a tooth, there is a tiger in the bathroom, there is a baby in the room etc.)

This film provided many laughs and I seriously think it was one of the funniest movies that I have seen in a very long time.
