The Green Mile — 

this is an amazing movie. it has a wonderful cast, including Michael Duncan Clarke, Tom Hanks, and David Morse.  The plot (and story) are extremely well written and the movie has a wonderful musical score. i would definitely recommend, even if you're not a big tom hanks fan
