Generally my cats are not big treat fans...Okay, they're really treat snobs. But I wanted to find something that my cats would enjoy besides their regular food and that I could put in their toys. When I found The Goodlife Recipe Wholesome Delights cat treats I thought I'd give them a try. When I got home I took out the bag of treats and shook it. Like the crazed, attack anything that crinkles or makes sounds, cats that they are, they came running at the sound. I put a few Goodlife Recipe treats on the ground for them to test out. They ate them and actually looked at me for more! I put a few treats in an empty tissue box and let them play.
Perhaps one of the reasons they like The Goodlife Recipe treats is the soft inner shell. The treats are hard on the outside but have a flavorful soft center. My cats usually snub the hard treats but I think the soft center helped. The flavor I chose was salmon and shrimp and there was actually real flavor added into these Goodlife Recipe treats. A plus for me (treat or no treat) is that these yummy treats have no artificial flavors, they are rich in fiber and fatty acids, flavored with skim milk (rich in calcium) and has some vegetables like carrots and garden greens. The Goodlife Recipe does have grain in it which I'm not too sure about in a cats diet. If you look at the ingredients, it's not really the best stuff out there, but my cats enjoy it and it is a snack and not a meal. I would suggest going out and buying a small bag to try on your cats.
