The Golden Compass Review

I was so excited by the interesting trailers for The Golden Compass , I was rather surprised by the reation of people having comments about religion. After seeing the movie I am very surprised people are concerned about the religion aspect. Seriously after seeing movies like harry potter, lord of the rings, chronicles of Narnia what is the big deal. ITS A FANTASY/SCI-FI movie people. Seriously if this had not been brought up in the news about some religious non sense would your kids even notice, my little cousins didn't even grasp what the big deal was.Its not meant to be real life and that is what should be explained to children. I enjoyed the movie and would like to encourage people to see the movie. There are scenes of some violence that you may not find appropriate for young children. However if they read the book it has already been described in detail.

Overall I found the movie to be fun and full of adventure yfor the young adult. Loved the special effects and characters. The animated animals were so much fun. They really took the time to bring special characters to life and the importance of explaining the story. I look forward to seeing if they are going to finish making the series into movies as I would love to go see them.
