The Giving Tree Review

I have 3 kids and I read to them often.  We bought this book through a club because I liked the title. 

As I read through it with my children, I saw more and more what happens to us as we get older.  I was so moved by the authors clever writing, I cried.  It's so true!  We forget the important things.  We forget to take time to laugh and to breathe.  And we take so much for granted. 

Now, my kids love it because there are cool pictures in it.  There's just something about black and white doodles that scream fun!  I really don't think my younger ones understand the lesson of the book.  My eleven year old probably does, though.
