Great travel changing system! You can store a small wipe container and a few diapers in the mesh zippered pouch, then slip it into your purse or just carry it as is! I love mine for quick little outings. Also, it is nice and wide, so my baby doesn't touch anything but the mat when I change her.

The First Year's Changing Pad is pretty handy. I originally purchased it because of it's size. When opened up it provides enough space to lay a wiggly baby (not just a newborn) and not worry that she will scoot right off of it. It folds up fairly compactly and fit in the outside pocket of my small diaper bag. It closes securely with velcro, but I could easily open it with one hand, while holding the baby in the other. Two mesh pockets are attached to one end. These are not particularly large, as others have mentioned, but I don't believe this item is meant to replace a diaper bag. The pockets provide ample room for three disposable diapers (not room for my cloth diapers) in one pocket and wipes in the other. Mine came with a plastic case for holding wipes, but I got rid of that right away. I've never seen a plastic case that closed tight enough to keep wipes moist. Instead I put a stack of wipes in a ziploc bag and slide it into the pocket. If the pockets were bigger, to allow for more diaper storage, the changing pad would not fold up well. The only problem I have had is that the plastic has started to crack at one of the fold points. However, it's been in use for over four years, so I don't think that is a failure of the product.

I registered for one of these when I was pregnant because it looked like a good thing to have in a diaper bag, or even just a thing to take out instead of a diaper bag on short trips. Well, I've only used it once. The main problem I have with it is that is keeps trying to fold up. While my baby is laying on it, wriggling around like a baby does, this thing is folding up in four directions, so I have to wrangle the baby AND the changing pad! How inconvenient! Other reviewers are right in that the mesh pockets are really small. I don't know what you're supposed to put in there - wipes? diapers? not many of either. Another problem I have with it is that it's thin (may as well lay some paper down to change your baby one), and not very big (gee - hope that velcro doesn't scratch your face, two-month-old baby). In short, I've only used it once, so it is certainly not worth the money. I didn't pay for it, and I wish that person could get their money back.

More than two years ago, I opened a package at my first baby shower. In the package was this The First Years Deluxe Fold & Go Diapering Kit and Changing Pad.  I wasn't too enthusiastic. You see, I had just opened a fancy diaper bag that already had a changing pad in it that was color coordinated to the bag. I couldn't think of why I would need two. I actually almost returned the First Years Changing Pad.  Once my first son was born, I quickly realized how useful the First Years Deluxe Fold & Go Diapering Kit really is. No longer did I need to fish through my massive diaper bag for the diapering essentials. The diapers and wipes could be stored inside this kit for easy access. As we left the diaper blowout phase, I enjoyed leaving the big diaper bag in the car and simply carrying this diapering kit with me. It is easy to use and easy to keep clean. There is a zip pocket on the front to even hold diaper rash cream. The two mesh pockets work well to hold a couple diapers or a small wipes pack. I have used the 2 pockets to hold 2 different sizes of diapers for my 2 little ones. The pockets are small, however, so they do not easily hold more than 2 diapers per pocket. In two years, I have given birth to two boys. Needless to say, this diapering kit has gotten a workout! It still looks brand new.

As any parent knows, changing a diaper is not the easiest thing to do on the go.  You may not want to put your baby down on a bed in case there is an accident and the diaper changing stations in restaurants/stores can be pretty nasty.  This kit helps with all of that.  The pad folds up around a plastic container for wipes.  There are two mesh pockets: one to hold diapers and one to hold the wipes container.  When it is all rolled up, the kit is fairly compact and can easily fit into almost any diaper bag.  The mesh pockets, however, really only allow for two or three diapers to be stored in it.  The pad is moisture proof and is easily cleaned when soiled.  Overall, the product is durable and can withstand some torture.  I accidentally dropped and stepped on the wipes contained and it survived without even a scratch.  My wife and I had tried several kits and did not like them for various reasons, but this kit has stuck with us.

This changing pad is awesome! It folds down really small, is easy to clean, and has a convenient little mesh pocket and a zipper pocket in it. I don't use the zipper pocket much, but I could see where it could be convenient for a pacifier or even your keys. The velcro fastener doubles as a "stay put" function if you use the pad on carpeting or other similar flooring, which in a pinch has been really helpful for me, since I have changed a lot of diapers on the spot in all sorts of places. I can easily fit a small pack of wipes and a couple of diapers in the pad and throw it in a purse or diaper bag. I have found it is really easy to keep the pad clean and it's a nice size for using on those changing stations in public restrooms. My daughter is now 18 months old and I still use it and have no problems with it. I have used this countless times and I think it is a must-have for a busy parent on the go.
