I exclusively breastfed my first two children, but need to supplement for medical reasons this time and found Breastflow in an ad online. They are the best!!
I had used Avent and liked them alot, but these have a two part nipple design and the flow is slower and the outer nipple much softer, so more like breastfeeding.
I got mine at Target. They are no more expensive than other bottles.
After a few months of use they started to fall apart. I spent about $50 (on the small and then the large bottles) All but ONE cracked around the base where the lid snaps on.
SAVE YOUR RECIEPTS!! The company gave me the run around on these bottles, but finally let me send them all back on my dime. I marked where the crack was on every one with a permanent marker.
They sent me replacements, but all small bottles and did not refund my postage, which I had requested in the letter I sent as well as two emails.
Avent is made in Britain, Breastflow in China. The quality difference here is obvious.
I have not used but one of the new bottles more than twice. My son got used to a different bottle while I was waiting on these, and since he was drinking more than 5 ounces at a time, it would have been silly to make two bottles everytime I wanted to feed him a bottle.
