I received my own Entertainment book as a gift this year. Normally my mom or grandma buys one for themselves. This year, I'm the lucky one to own one of these books. I never imagined how much money this book could save me!
When I got it I handed it to my boyfriend to look through to find us a place to eat dinner and save money. He looked at me like I was an alien and tossed the book in the backseat of my car. A couple of weeks later I pulled the book out again and handed it to him. This time he humored me and started looking through it. He was amazed at the things we could have already saved money on, like memberships and rewards programs. Things we could have gotten free, but had already paid for. Once he realized how valuable the book actually is, we don't go anywhere - shopping, eating, movies - until we look through the book and see if there's a coupon.
If I don't get one of these as a gift next year, I am going to buy one for sure! The little bit of money it costs to buy one is nothing compared to the money that can be saved with the coupons.
I haven't run into any places that don't honor the coupons, YET, but am aware that it's probably going to happen. I'm not discouraged by that though. If one place won't accept my coupon, I'm positive the next place will.
