New York City is known for its skyscrapers and the Empire State Building is probably its most famous. Reviewers encourage a visit to the Empire State building to enjoy the amazing views from the observation deck and to take in the history of this famous historic building. “What’s a Visit to New York City Without Seeing the Empire State Building?”, asks one reviewer. But another responds with “Leave the Empire State building for Clark Kent”. The main complaints people have with the Empire State Building are the long waiting lines and the cost of admission. Take these two things away, however, and you have a pretty nice Vacation Destination that many will find to their liking.

I have been to a lot of attractions in my travels, and I just didn't see the big deal with the Empire State building.  The Empire State building has cool art deco decor, but honesly, it is just another tall building.  You can get a great view of the city when someone's head isn't in your way, and your... read full review »

Do the Combo Package

My 12 year old daughter and I visited New York this past weekend and went to the Empire State Building for the first time. When you enter you are given a flyer advertising a combo package. Buy the combination and get two attractions. The first is a skyride and the second is the elevator to the observatory at the top of the Empire State Builiding. We did the combo and the skyride was worth it. It is a simulated helicopter ride over New York. If you have ever been to Disney and taken the Soaring over California ride it is similar to that.
