Most HelpfulI purchased the The Drinkwell Pet Fountain because my cat, Miles, has this thing where little bumps form around his lip area if he isn't well hydrated (I believe it's called ____ granulosa. I have a horrible memory and the sheet isn't right in front of me...). Besides giving Miles a cat food with...

Most Helpfulok, so some of us like to spoil their pets. I had bought one of these and clean it up every day to keep it running smoothly and after one month the motor stoped working. I was told to buy a new one or replace the motor for a price and for s&h.
I said forget it i'll go back to dish and water, some things...

We've been using the Drinkwell for about two years. The fact that it filters the water is the main feature we were looking for. After all, we are drinking filtered water; why shouldn't our cats? The charcoal filter is supposed to filter out bad tastes and odors.
Our cats love to drink from the running spout! The water is continuously aerated and flowing. It seems a more natural way to get their water. It's not stagnant water like when drinking from a bowl; it is oxygenated.
The major drawback of the Drinkwell is that it isn't easy to clean. However, Drinkwell offers a set of brushes...
read full review »The Verdict: My cats love this water fountain. They drink more water now that we have it and seem to enjoy drinking from the stream. I like the sound of the trickling water.
Just the Facts: We go to a cats only vet and during an open house at their office last summer I won a Drinkwell Pet Fountain in a raffle they had. I entered the raffle hoping to win this prize (there were other prizes but I wanted the fountain) and was very pleased when they called to tell me I had won.
The Drinkwell is sort of like a combination well and waterfall for small pets. I have the small version of this fountain...

My cat, Kilala, was very picky about her old water bowl. I noticed that I hardly ever saw her drink from it. However,...
read full review »I have three of these in my house. (I have 7 cats). I tried the other brand of fountain and found it unacceptable because the reservoir is small and impossible to clean. The Drinkwell is easy to disassemble and clean and the reservoir is MUCH larger. I have the additional capacity reservoir so that it doesn't run out of water every day (7 cats, remember?!). When disassembling it, the only problem I've ever had is forgetting to replace the impeller when I put it back together. Helpful hint: It won't run without the impeller! The first fountain has been with me for a couple of years...

We have 4 cats and a labrador retriever puppy. We purchased the Drinkwell Pet Fountain 360. The whole reason behind purchasing this was to encourage our cats to drink more water. We had 1 cat with recurring urinary tract infections. Our vet had recommended trying to increase her water intake daily. Cats are always attracted to running water and we wanted an easy to use pet fountain. Free-flowing water that was filtered in an easy to use system is what we looked for. After doing research, we found the Drinkwell Pet Fountain. We introduced the Drinkwell to our cats and each one...

I can't even remember how long ago it was now since I first purchased a Drinkwell Pet Fountain for my cats ... at my husband's suggestion. At first I thought, "That's crazy to spend money like that when they can drink just fine from any bowl." However, he proved right (which I'm constantly reminded of) and the cats love this fountain.
Another reviewer apparently had a problem with a faulty motor on the pump; I have not. Mine is still the original unit, and it has been running 24/7 for several years. With periodic cleaning, I've never experinenced a single pumping problem, and the motor...
