Wow
This is such a great book. It catches you and holds you from the first page. Although it is a historical novel it reads as if you were reading fiction. I admit to being more interested in H.H. Holmes I did find all the history about the Worlds Fair, which serves as a backdrop to this serial killers hunting ground, to be fascinating as well. It was a very quick read for me because it was so interesting I couldn't put it down. This would be a great read for the beach this summer now that it is finally out in paperback. I saw give it a whirl you won't be disappointed.

The terms like sky scrapper came from; Shredded Wheat, and Cracker Jack was introduced. I was not expecting to read about the history of Chicago...just about the murders. What a pleasant surprise. I was so happy with this book I could not put...

This is one of the most enthralling books ever!  I could not put it down.  it read like one of the most intricate novels ever and it is all true and factual.  i am more of a fiction reader generally but i love this author so much i have read all of his books.  Isaac's Storm is just as spellbinding.  The others are, too but they read less like novels and more like journalism.  a must read for anybody who likes books at all.
