The Dangerous Book For Boys

What a treasure I have found while searching Amazon.com for some age appropriate books for my son.

The Dangerous Book For Boys is a manual or guide for boys that will turn their attention away from video games to fishing, U.S. Naval Codes, skipping stones and hours of other fulfilling activities.

This books takes me back to the days of Beaver Cleaver. Long summer days and nights hanging out with good friends making paper airplanes, water bombs and coin tricks.

Although my son is already 13 years old, he still did enjoy a few of the ideas in this book. It was very interesting for the both of us to learn how latitude and longitude work, even though I really didn't understand it.

This book teaches boys how to:
Make the greatest paper airplane ever

Tie 5 knots every boy should know

Build a treehouse

Insects and spiders

First Aid

And so much more!

I really enjoyed looking through this book with my son. For a moment, I wished I was a little boy and was able to build a treehouse and skip rocks.

I think this would be a great gift for any boy 9 years or older. Anyone younger than 9 years old may not be interested in a lot of the subjects, especially the one about girls!

Excellent book. I've got it myself and couldn't agree with you more! God hasn't given me any boys in my family, but my friend has two sons and we're hopefully building a treehouse in my backyard this summer. In a few years, my two granddaughters will be able to enjoy it as well!

Yes, I think it's called The Daring Book For Girls or something close to that. :)

This is on my list for my nephew's birthday. I think there is a similar version for girls.
