I received this beautiful Danbury Mint Jack Russell Terrier Dog Figurine from a friend last year and I just love it. It looks just like my dog. This eight-inch tall figurine is crafted of cold-cast porcelain, superbly detailed and skillfully hand painted, according to the website. They are right. The details are amazing from the eyes to the "fur" to the stance of the figurine. It is quite heavy and of very high quality. It has very thin velvet on the bottom so it doesn't scratch surfaces and sits steadily on any flat surface. I love my mini Mickey. The Danbury Mint has loads of breeds of animals as well as many other replicas of things and apparel, jewelry, and much more. This dog got me hooked on buying replicas of things and I now have several replica animals, birds, and dolls from them and Franklin Mint. They probably won't elevate in price but I just like the realistic look of the figurines. This type of product would make a wonderful gift. Pick a breed of dog, cat, or other animal and choose a plate, figurine, whatever for the owner. They will thank you if they love their pet as much as I love mine.

My Viewpoint

Some figurines are tacky and look junky and fake. The Danbury Mint Jack Russell Terrier Dog Figurine looks high quality and very striking. There are much more expensive replicas out there (This one was under $60.00) but I love my mini Mickey and I continue to pick up replicas and other things from Danbury mint. As I said, I don't expect the items to rise in price. I buy them because they make me happy and that's reason enough. I give this product 5 stars because it makes me happy.
