The Da Vinci Code  —

This is a suspenseful puzzle mystery with great characters and packed with a lot of historical information. It presents information on architecture, history, religion and geography in an involving and gripping way, and intertwines a murder mystery throughout. It is usually glossed over that this is actually a sequel of sorts to Brown's "Angels and Demons", which is a superior novel in almost every way.

I loved the DaVinci Code and really need to read Angels and Demons. It's been on my shelf forever but I just keep putting it off.
