I've said in a previous review, The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, that Brad Pitt is one of America's best actors.  He does nothing to refute that claim in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.  Pitt teams up with director David Fincher for a third time (Se7en and Fight Club... read full review »

Over the holidays, I went to the theater to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The bottom line for me is that there is a good movie inside this overly long film and it doesn't help that it drips with somewhat forced local color.

Although the major plot point in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button...

I went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button even after hearing it was slow.  Well, it was slow, but it was good, but then it wasn't good, but then it was.... as you can tell, I have a hard time deciding what I think of this movie!  Hopefully this review will help clear up my thoughts.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is about a baby who is born in 1918 with a problem - he is born old.  As a baby he's already got all the problems most people don't get until their 80s or 90s.  His father can't stand to have the "monster" around, so he abandons the baby on the stoop of an old folks home...

Yah, what Mike said! That was a thorough review!!

I liked Benjamin Button and I even cried during the movie a few times. The acting was good, the story line well developed, and it was such a touching love story.

I did think that the movie was a little slow going for the first hour, but when Brad Pitt turned into a man and he was courting his "love", it captured more of my attention. Hehehehhe. Again, I am not a huge Brad fan, but his acting was good, he looked good, and the storyline was touching.

I would consider seeing Benjamin Button in the theater but dont read too much-- it is a little over-hyped...

I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last night in the theater and have to say I am still thinking about it 24 hours later.  The other reviewers are right that it is long but does a great job of keeping your interest.  Brad Pitt was impressive in his range and depth.  I am not a big pop culture guy so I don't really have a love hate relationship with him like many people do.

The whole idea of being born as an old person with a young mind and then "aging in reverse" is a fascinating and intriguing basis of a thought  provoking movie.  It is fun to watch Benjamin experience life in reverse...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was a superb movie that left my mind racing for days. The themes it wrapped itself around (nothing lasts forever, the idea of fate and pre-destination) were perhaps even more entertaining than the story itself. The movie revolves around Benjamin Button, a character who's body ages backwards as he grows older. Over the three hours running time, his life is portrayed by actor Brad Pitt beginning at his birth and hitting the important parts of his life experiences.

Director David Fincher, has done numerous outstanding...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has got to be the most romantic movie I've ever seen. It's not "sweep you off your feet" romance, it's the romance of true love that one can only imagine. Once you accept the concept of a man aging backwards rather than how the rest of us do, you realize that love is not only the physical attraction of two people but much more than that.

Love is taking care of someone throughout old age and never leaving them behind. This movie was a definite tearjerker for me and I found it much more about true love than other more romantic movies like The Notebook, etc. It...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was a wonderful movie.  I was literally stuck to my seat for the entire movie.  Just trying to anticipate when he would grow younger again was an adventure.  There were times when I felt like hurry get younger, but every youthful change was worth the wait.  It was interesting seeing what some of us would call an old soul embrace youth and vitality when it was thrust upon him.  It kind of lets you know that life should be appreciated no matter what.  How dare we become depressed or  unhappy because something isn't going right or exactly the way you want...

The way this film was shot was magnificent! I can't wait to be able to add this movie to my collection. It was reviting! The New orleans flavor down home values and intriging love story. I never thought I would be so captivated by anything like this. I was truely impressed by the story line and the flow and pace of the unfolding events. I love how there was never  a pity party for Benjamin and how he loved himself and appreciated the fact that he was different but never let his handicaps stop him from doing or achieving what he wanted to achieve in life.

I liked this movie.

It had a lot of different elements about it...love, interest, encouragement, etc.  It isn't your everyday movie about a boy that meets a girl and they end up together down the line.  It is a special movie about a boy overcoming a strange disorder where he is born old and grows young.  The sad part is that the love of his life is aging the normal way and eventually he has to do the "right" thing and leave her because he is getting too young.

The movie was roughly about 2.5 hours long and I enjoyed each minute of it.  Brad Pitt did a great job acting in this movie that makes...

This movie just got to me.  Amazing...for older people viewing the film it was enthralling to envision your life turning clockwise..  If only we could regress after acquiring all the knowledge of a lifetime.   The movie shows a huge clock running counter clockwise in hope of returning the soldiers who had gone to fight in the Great War.  The actual aging process of the characters is fantastic.  I believe mature viewers will appreciate this film.  It was a process just to keep track of his age as the events unfurled.  Go see it.  Great.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is what i just watched last night. i dont watch alot of brad pitt movies, but the dvd case in blockbuster caught my eye so i decided to go ahead and rent it, boy am i glad i did, i never seen a movie made this way. it was fast pace, not like other movies that drag on and on. it starts out that benjamin is born but born as and old man in a babys body, it goes through all of his life backwards til he reaches a baby in a babies body.. it kept my interest the whole time. very very good..

Wow. This movie was one of the best movies I have ever seen! I would recommend The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to EVERYONE. It is definately a tear jerker. Finally, the entertainment industry has come up with something unique. If you are one of those people that are tired of all these movies in the entertainment industry being too predictable or have the same story lines. Well then The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is for you. I would have to say it is the most unique movie I've ever seen in my life.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a long movie but you never lose interest.  It is truly a great movie.  Bring your kleenex you will need them a few times during the movie.  Do not miss the very first part of the movie or you will never understand the story of how time is going for Benjamin.   It is a truly great love story.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button...I watched it last night and was really touched by the movie.  It did make me cry just a little, and that is not normal for me. It was a little long, but I didn't mind.  I saw it with some male coworkers, who were equally as impressed. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good dramatic film!
