The Closer Review

For some reason, my wife does not particularly care for actress Krya Sedgwick (Another World, Kansas, Loverboy).  I have to admit some of earlier movies were not exactly my cup of tea, but then I started to see something different from the actress.  First there was the film The Woodsman in which she stared with her husband, Kevin Bacon.  I loved the movie, and I love Krya Sedgwick in it.  Then I started watching the TNT's The Closer in which Ms. Sedgwick portrays Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson, a smart southern belle with a pension for solving cases on the mean street of Los Angles.

Surround by a really talented cast including J.K. Simmons (OZ, Law & Order, Spider Man 1-3), Jon Tenny, Robert Gossett, and Michael Paul Chan, Sedgwick really shines on The Closer, a show that has become a must see for me on Monday nights.  Ms. Johnson not only solves the crime, but she does so with style, grace and beauty with just a hint of quirkiness and insecurity.
