My experience with the Cleveland Clinic - Florida began a little over a month ago when a serious digestive system problem being suffered by my mother-in-law continued to worsen.

For quite some time we had endured the medical care that is South Florida's.  I refer to it in my more polite moments as McMedicine.  This is a brand of medicine that features long office waits, lost or misplaced records and a "move'm in, move'm out" managed care mentality.  If you have questions, better ask them fast and don't make them too tough.

My husband was misdiagnosed at another hospital that I will not mention.  We went to Cleveland Clinic through the emergency room and he was admitted.  It took them one day and a half to correctly diagnois him. I had checked out the crediationals of the doctors we were going to use before we were put into a situation that could not be good again.  They were doctors from all over the United States that had relocated to Florida, their creditials were beyond what I could have hoped for.  I even called the Medical Schools they attended they were all top notch.  The best care in South Florida.

This is by far the best medical care in South Florida. My husband had an inpatient procedure done. Before that he spent 13 days in another South Florida Hospital (discouraging to say the least). The medical providers in the Cleveland Clinic are outstanding, the staff at the hospital is extremely customer oriented and friendly. If anything ever happens to another member of the family this hospital will be the hospital of choice. Great job - it makes a patient feel safe, welcome and well taken care off.

My father has various conditions thus been to various hospitals over the country. So far the cleveland clinic in weston is the worst. The doctors seem to care about making money the most. Every doctor we have seen, he always wants to do some expensive procedure first. Not that we have to pay for any of them as my father carries both medicare and supplementry insurance. For example, the GI doc does not address our concerns or wants to look at the x-ray my father had when he was hospitalized. All he wants to do is endoscopy.
