The Bucket List —

While none of us want to admit to our own mortality, we are all aging.  And this movie takes the real issue of aging, addresses it and puts a humorous spin on it.  It kind of breaks the taboo of not suggesting that we aren't going to be here indefinitely to complete everything.  It is an encouragement to prioritize.  And the combination of characters as well as the actors portraying the characters is highly refined chemical genius...These men are aging, but still vital, still thinking, still active, and somewhat crochety which gives every opportunity for good old fashioned comedy.  Although, I have to admit, I had a hard time at first imagining anything that Jack Nicholson hadn't done that he would have had regrets about, but his superior acting drew me into his character so that I could believe the premise.  It was probably a bit more in terms of language and suggestion than I would recommend for kids under the age of say 10 years old, but by the time they get to 10, they have heard alot worse in the hallways and playground at school.  Probably seen alot worse on TV and the internet.  Not for young children who don't necessarily understand what dying means, but I wouldn't say you have to wait for PG13 and high school either.
