Life is a gift and that is why they call it (a) the present! The "Bucket List" is one movie that really makes the viewer question his/her own mortality. This movie is a real "eye-opener" and that is exactly why I went to see it. I was not disappointed. In fact, I recommend that everyone see this movie. It may very well be just "the ticket" you need to get your own life in order, whatever that may mean to you.

For myself, this movie really hit home. I lost my best friend to terminal cancer three years ago. On October 14, 2007, my twenty-nine year old niece, Adina, passed. She had fought a long and hard battle with acute leukemia. Adina left behind a husband and a baby boy, Benjamin. Benjamin was a year old in July, 2007. Adina's life touched all who knew her because she battled her illness with a smile on her face and a zest for living!  Her own battles taught us all how to live life to the fullest. Oh, how she would have laughed at Edward and Carter!

Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman play two men (Edward and Carter) who meet in the hospital. Both of them had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. It was their common bond of their illnesses that brought them together as roomates in the hospital. Here, the two of them develop a friendship and a much deeper bond that sends the two men on a journey outside of the hospital. Time on earth is short for the two of them and they make a pact to live the rest of their days fulfilling their dreams. Each of the two very different men adds to this "Bucket List," as it is called by them. Their goal is to complete all of the items on this "list" before they die. Their journey is one that will take them on one adventure followed by another, all over the world.

You'll laugh with Edward and Carter as you share in their fun-filled adventure! You'll find yourself shaking your head in disbelief at some of the "stunts" they pull! And, you'll shed a few tears when the two men face some real hardships!

"The Bucket List" is a definite  " To Do " to add to your own bucket. This movie is about life and living.
