The Bristol doesn't offer anything we haven't seen elsewhere
frequent diner, married to someone with Celiac Sprue, beer drinker

The Bristol is a fairly new restaurant/bar in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago.  They took over the old Il Covo space on Damen (just south of Webster) in the fall of 2008.  The menu sports a wide variety of adventurous small bite plates and other dishes meant to be shared.  Their drink menu boasts some interesting mixed drinks specials, a long wine list and an extensive specialty beer list.

If all of those features sound familiar, it's because you've seen them all before, and in basically the same combination at places like The Bluebird (half a dozen blocks down Damen) or The Publican. ... review »
