The Breakfast Club (1985) This movie was written and directed by John Hughes. I think this is one of the BEST 80's MOVIES! It has great actors/actresses in it and the plot and scenes are great!

On a saturday, at the high school, five students, who have nothing in common, besides of going to the same high school,  have to stay in detention that day. At seven a.m. they had nothing to say to each other, but by the end of the day at four p.m. they were best of friends!

The principal, Mr.Vernon, tells the students that he wants them to write a essay telling who they think they are....Well the group finally gets Brian (Anthony Michael Hall) to write the essay from all of them as a group.

Even though people look at them as the Brain (Anthony Michael Hall), the Athlete(Emilio Estevez),the basketcase(Ally Sheedy),the princess(Molly Ringwald)and the criminal(Judd Nelson), to each other they will always be "THE BREAKFAST CLUB!"

To begin with they disagreed on most things, they had their arguments with each other. As the day went along they come to find out even though they had various life styles that they were not as different as they had thought!

They actually became friends even though they never had thought they wouldn't  have anything in common at the beginning of the morning! As the day moves along they dance, they tell stories of their lives, they joke with each other, they even harass each other, they smoke pot, that Bender(Judd Nelson) has, that they sneak out and get out of his locker.

By the end of the day, the essay is finished, and they actually understand that even though people look different on the outside, they are very much the same on the inside! The Breakfast Club has a new found respect for each other and their peers too!

This is a awesome movie. It is so much of the 80's! The actresses/actors are fantastic in their roles! I highly recommend for anyone to see it!

It is rated -R..There is some language and some comments that may not be suitable for the younger kids, so be careful with that...

Over all >>A GREAT MOVIE!!
