Boppy Bare Naked Pillow
What is the Boppy Bare Naked Pillow? It is a white pillow shaped with a circle but has an opening on one side about 1/4 of the circumference of the pillow. You will need to purchase a slipcover for the pillow which will be available at most stores selling baby products. The slipcovers come in many different designs and colors. You can choose one to macth the baby's nursery or just pick out a favorite design or two. They have neutral designs and solid colors and also designs specifically for baby boys and baby girls.
The opening of the pillow allows you to adjust it to your body while breast feeding or bottle feeding baby. My daughter chose to breast feed her baby and this was tricky finding the right position for her and the new baby. While she was in the hospital she ended up folding bed pillows over to prop up the baby at feeding times. Being a bit uncomfortable after a c-section delivery, she was seeking all the comfort she could find. On day two of her hospital stay, she told her husband to bring the Boppy to the hospital for her to help with breast feeding. You can position the Boppy in different wasy, trial and error will help you discover what works for you and your baby.
She used the Boppy Bare Naked Pillow with a blue slipcover and graphic design on it for breastfeeding after she came home from the hospital too. It came in handy propped in bed for middle of the night feedings and also in her living room when she was home alone and wanted to feed her baby and watch TV at the same time.
I had seen these pilllows in the stores but had never had the chance to check one out up close and in person until my grandson was born. The pillow also came in handy later as the baby got older. When she switched him to bottles and he started holding his own bottle at 5-6 months, the Boppy was also convenient for propping him up on while taking a bottle. It also came in handy as he was learning to sit up. By placing the baby in the center of the Boppy while sitting, the baby has padding all around if and when they fall over. As your baby moves to toddler stage, they can use the Boppy as a pillow for snuggling on the sofa or the floor.
The Boppy Bare Naked Pillow retails for $24.99. Slipcovers can be purchased for $9.99 and up. The pillow is washable if needed. However, you may want to just have an extra slipcover on hand.

The Boppy Bare Naked Pillow proved to be a useful item for my daughter, especially while breast feeding her baby. The unique design and shape of the pillow gives your versatility in how it can be used. She used her Boppy for feeding, propping, sitting and now her baby will go lay down by it when he gets tired of playing. It has certainly been worth the cost in my opinion. Every new mom should give the Boppy Bare Naked Pillow a try. I give it 4 VP's!
