The Body Shop Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel —

The Body Shop Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel is another one of those wonderfully scented bath gels that you love to indulge in!  This one is no different and has a nice vanilla scent to it but----

The Body Shop Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel

The Body Shop Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel comes in a 6.75 fl. oz. bottle that is clear, showing the amber liquid bath gel inside the bottle.  The formula is thick and rich giving a nice vanilla aroma when you open the bottle.

This size bottle retails for $12.00.

If you are familiar with The Body Shop's products, you will know that they use a lot of natural ingredients in their products.  The key ingredients in The Body Shop Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel are:  bergamot, peach, strawberry, orange flower, jasmine, plum, ylang ylang, vanilla, sandalwood, amber and musk.

What I found interesting about this product is that it is a soap-free product.  This doesn't effect the amount of suds that it produces though.  You will still experience a lot of suds!

I Like it, But.....

I bet you were wondering when I would get to this part, weren't you?  I really like this bath and shower gel, but I can't justify paying $12.00 for a bottle that isn't as large as one I can get at Walmart for less than half the cost that also performs just as well and smells good too!

The Body Shop Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel smells great if you like vanilla scents.  I have to be careful as to when I use this because vanilla scent makes my stomach growl with hunger pains--and actually makes me hungry.  This may sound funny but it is very annoying, so I don't dare use this before work.  I try to get out of the house with a granola bar and coffee.  If I have the vanilla shower gel, my stomach is growling before I get to work and I'm hungry.  I keep this treat for soaks in my tub at night.  It it relaxing and doesn't seem to bother me after dinner when it is bedtime.

The Body Shop Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel also performs as a high quality product.  Even though it is soap-free it provides lots of suds and lather.  I also think it does a fair job at moisturizing your skin.  It is recommended for all skin types, but those with sensitive skin may also be able to use this product since it is soap-free.

So that's my dig on The Body Shop Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel.  It's a great product, but is it worth $12.00 for a small bottle?  In today's economy I say no!  I'll be saving my shopping at The Body Shop for teh 70% off sale!

I got some Cranberry and plum stuff when it was 70% off and its good and not Christmasy. I love TBS's body butters and stuff but I just hate paying so much for one tub so I jump on the sales or go without. Times are tough!

I totally agree. I've only been buying on the 70% off sale now and clearance online. It's just not worth the pricetag!

I like Body Shop products but they keep raising the prices. I always scoop up stuff when they are on sale or deeply discounted. I can't stand to pay their prices anymore.

These items can really get out of hand - I have two to review that are ridiculously priced (got from my mom). Jo

Hey, a "maybe" button is a great idea :) I could use a "maybe" button all the time!

There is nothing wrong with the product, it is just the price is too high. That is when a *Maybe* button is needed for recommendation!!

This sounds nice. I am surprised you gave it 4 stars and a thumbs down though. Thanks for the review!
