Ok, it's confession time.  I love nice smelling bath and body products and shower gels falls into that category.  I don't keep just one kind/brand/scent in the bathroom, but 4 or 5!  One of the brands I have on hand right now is The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel.  It's the perfect scent to get you going first thing in the morning.

The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel

This product comes in an 8.4 fl. oz bottle and retails for $11,00 a bottle.  The bottle is clean and allows for the honey colored mango shower get to shine through.  The scent is sweet and tangy and smells fresh....like a fresh piece of mango fruit opened up.  The authentic scent comes from Mangifera Indica extract (mango), so no wonder it smells so good!

The Body Shop claims this shower gel moisturizes the skin.  It has a glycerin base which helps keep skin soft and moisturized.

My ViewPoint

I love the frest scent of this shower gel.  I find that it words very well and has a lot of sudsy action.  Taking a shower or bath is something we all have to do, so we may as well enjoy it with products that have nice fragrances. The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel can be used by both men and women.  This is one that I often find my husband dipping in to.  The scent is mild, light and fruity.  It leaves just a light mango frangrance to your skin.

This shower gel is supposed to moistuizer your skin and it does.  However, I don't think it does a perfect job in this area.  While it doesn't dry my skin out, it doesn't leave any extra moisture either.  For the price of $11.00 a bottle, I would expect a bit more out of this product since it claims to leave skin moisturized.  I do have a fix for this but that will lead to another review, but I'll give you a hint...in just two words:  body butter.

Overall, The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel does a good job of cleansing, has lots of suds and smells wonderful.  The only fault I find is that is does not moisturize my skin as well as I expected.  For this reason, I give The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel 4 VP's.

I don't care for mango fruit either!! I guess it is one of those things you have to have an acquired taste for !

Mmm, Mango! I have a weird thing where I like mango flavored drinks (Arizona used to have a Mango Ice tea) and Mango candy and mango scents - but I had a Mango fruit once and it was nasty! Anyway, this sounds like something I should wishlist :) I have a ton of body gel for awhile though so I'll keep it in mind when I run out.

My favorite is the Satsuma scent. It's heavenly!
