Quick View: Makeup is only as good as the brushes you use. I love the Body Shop's Retractable Blusher Brush . It goes everywhere I do and is a vastly superior brush to the cheap ones. Well worth the cost!
About the Body Shop's Retractable Blusher Brush
I was visiting the Body Shop and tried some blush on. Loved it and bought it. When I got home, I didn't love it. I couldn't figure it out and then it hit me. The brush I used at The Body Shop was killer. Mine was junk. I went back and bought the Body Shop's Retractable Blusher Brush. It was expensive but now, I wouldn't use anything else for travel and even at home use.
The brush is housed in black metal with a pull off cap. When the cap is off, a thin metal housing protects the brush. Slide down the metal protector and you have a fantastic blusher brush. This is a soft, fluffy brush, nearly as big as powder brush. Once you're done with it, you slide the grey metal protector up over the bristles and put the cap back on and everything is compact and protected. The brush, when capped, is four inches tall and three inches around. I think that is why I like it so much. It's a full sized brush in a covered container that can travel but can also double as at home blusher brush. The bristles are about 1 1/2 inches long.
When I got the Body Shop's Retractable Blusher Brush, I immediately put it to work and it was as good at home as it was in the store. My blush glided on and there were no tell tale hairs or bristles on my face. The bristles are very soft - softer than any brush I have ever had. They feel smooth and velvety on my face and distribute just enough blush to make me look glowy, not streaky. You have heard the good news. Now for the bad. The brush costs $18.50. Yikes! But with just a bit of maintenance, this brush will last years and save me money in buying cheap brush after cheap brush. It makes my makeup look better, meaning I look better. That's worth $18.50 to me!
My Viewpoint
You can buy a bunch of cheap, shedding, hard cosmetic brushes for a few bucks or you can invest in a good, soft, incredible one for $18.50. The Body Shop's Retractable Blusher Brush is an investment that will last years with minimal care and will make your blush glide on and look natural. It's also great to carry with you to avoid compact brush streaks when touching up your blush in the ladies room or the car. I have to give this brush 5 stars. I would have never considered spending the money on it if it wasn't a high quality, excellent, and versatile brush.
