The Body Shop Peppermint Foot Mask Review

According to The Body Shop the Peppermint Foot Mask is supposed to "detoxify, stimulate and refresh your tired and aching feet." Does it work? You betcha!

After spending a long day in a pair of particularly uncomfortable heels, I couldn't wait to get those shoes off and my legs up...my feet were aching.  I had received a tube of Mask in a gift basket, otherwise I doubt that I would have ever even thought about a mask for my legs and feet. I had heard a lot about the benefits of peppermint oils though and this seemed like the perfect time to find out for myself.

Reading the tube, The Body Shop says that "special ingredients" in the Mask will work together to provide the benefits this mask delivers. Clay works to detoxify and lift out all impurities from your skin. The peppermint oil works to stimulate and refresh your skin leaving it very soft. Directions say to apply the Mask in a circular motion while massaging your feet. Next, elevate your feet for at least 10 minutes, relax and enjoy! The product should be completely dry at the end of 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Seems simple enough....

The Mask itself is a white, fairly thick cream that dries quickly just like a face mask. I loved the tingle from the peppermint oil and it was a great way to relax and unwind. There was some flaking when I stood to head to the shower, but nothing too messy - next time I would throw a towel on the floor though. The Mask rinsed off easily and cleanly, leaving my legs and feet soft and feeling refreshed.

Cost and Availability
I received my tube of Mask as a gift, but a visit to The Body Shop website lists the cost at $14 for a 4.5oz tube.  Body Shop products can be found at their stores worldwide or on-line. Yes, it is on the expensive side (as are all Body Shop products) but I don't mind supporting a company that upholds it values (read through their website sometime, you'll see what I mean) and whose products deliver.

The Bottom Line
I love this product! Cooling, refreshing and makes my feet look good too - what more could a girl ask for?
