Being a big fan of The Body Shop's body butters, I decided to give the lip butters a try some time ago.  One of the flavors i chose to purchase was the Passion Fruit flavor.  It was a light scent that smelled, well--- fruity!

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Lip Butter

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Lip Butter comes is a small tub, just like the body butters of the same scents.  The lip butter tubs contain 10 ml or 9.2 grams of lip butter.  The tubs are opened with a screw on cap.

The nice thing about The Body Shop's products are the natural ingredients.  The passion fruit flavor contains the following natural ingredients:  shea butter, castor seed oil, watermelon seed oil and beeswax.  All of these ingredients and a few more are combined to form a nicely scented and flavored lip balm designed to protect your lips from harsh elements and to soften your lips.

The organic oils work to moisturize your lips and seal in the moisture, as well as condition them and keep lips soft and moist.

My Thoughts on The Body Shop Passion Fruit Lip Butter

I have purchased several different flavors of The Body Shop lip butters and have enjoyed them all.  I can choose a flavor based on my mood and the variety of having a couple on hand is just plain out fun.

The The Body Shop Passion Fruit Lip Butter has a mild fruit flavor.  The scent is also mild and fruity.

So how does this product actually work?  I have to admit that I don't find that it works any better than Carmex or Blistex or any other lip balm other than it may stay on your lips longer before you need to reapply it.  I would say that is a pretty nice benefit, especially if you have dry or cracked lips from harsh winter weather.  The other benefit is the nice flavor.  Yes, you can buy flavored lip balms too, but as I said before--some of these products require reapplying every 30 minutes or so.  The The Body Shop Passion Fruit Lip Butter sticks to your lips even when drinking or eating.  I find that I don't have to reach for the tub every time I turn around.  A repeat application is usually not needed for a couple of hours.

The biggest con I would have to say is the price.  This little tub of The Body Shop Passion Fruit Lip Butter is now $8.00 (up from $6.00 each from my last purchase).  If you would like to try this, wait for a sale!  You can often get a Buy 2, Get One Free (Sale going on now online) or at a reduced cost.

Recommendation

I have to say that this is another case of "you get what you pay for".  The organic ingredients and the long-wearing abilities keep me coming back for a new flavor.  I think this is a great product and keeps my lips soft--even in the winter!  Thumbs up for The Body Shop Passion Fruit Lip Butter.
