Quick View: As the owner of millions of lip products, I feel safe in saying that The Body Shop Lippy Balms are the tastiest lip balms I have tried. They are good for the lips too but I tend to lick it off my lips constantly. Yum.
The Body Shop Lippy Balm
This lip balm comes in a little .3 ounce clear tub with a screw on/off lid. The current flavors are Satsuma (my favorite), Strawberry, Raspberry, and Watermelon. These balms are colored as you might expect them to be by their names and shimmery. They are sheer and impart only a touch of color. The scent and flavors correspond with the names. The balms can be worn on top of lip color to give shine and protection or alone for a natural look. They smell awesome and, I have to admit, taste even better!
My Use
I have all the Lippy Balms and use them for protecting my lips at home and out. I have no issue with the fact that they are in little pots rather than in sticks. I like to dip my finger in the soft, colorful balm and spread it on my lips. The scent is wonderful and, as much as I know I shouldn't, I end up immediately licking my lips to taste the amazing flavor. I like The Body Shop's Lip Butters as well, but the balms are more social. The butters are white and tend to leave a bit of a white residue on the lips. These balms leave just shine and touch of shimmer. They have a very, very light hue but they are not lip color. At five bucks a tub, they are well worth it. When they are on sale as they often are for $3.75, they are a steal. They last a long time and are such a treat in every way. I adore the way they shine and shimmer my lips and the scent is divine. You already know I want to just eat the stuff but I try hard not to lick it all off and to resist temptation. My lips feel smooth and moist and not sticky when I wear these balms.
My Viewpoint
I love The Body Shop Lippy Balms! They are everything I look for in a lip balm. They're pretty on the lips and they hydrate well. They smell great and taste great and aren't very sticky. They last quite a while on my lips (if I don't lick the balm off) and a little does a long way. I also love the butters but I think I favor the balms a tad more. 5 stars. Excellent stuff for your lips!
