I normally use natural products. I was running low on shampoo and conditioner and I found The Body Shop Banana Shampoo and the matching Banana Conditioner and read a lot of pretty darn good reviews on The Body Shop product pages. I have to tell you that the smell of The Body Shop Banana Conditioner is just absolutely Oh My Gosh! It has banana puree in it and therefore It has an authentic banana scent. It takes me to a warm summer's day. It is not a heavy conditioner and I am very happy with the way my hair feels right after using it. I have shoulder length hair and this conditioner takes care of the tangles and leaves my hair smooth. My hair is very soft and manageable after using this. The one thing I have noticed, which is quite an annoyance, is that I have to wash my hair more frequently because my hair gets oily and my scalp itches. I do not think I will purchase this product again.

This product smells great and leaves my hair so soft. I have very fine (not good either) colored hair and it leaves it soft and not weighted down. Effectiveness It is wonderful smelling and leaves my hair very soft, but not weighted. I can manage my hair and not worry about it falling flat. Scent It smells amazing. I look forward to showers because I know that I get to use this product. This is a wonderful following and I know why it has a following.

I didn't intend to buy The Body Shop's Banana Conditioner but when I walked past the conditioner display and caught a whiff of banana and had to backtrack to find the source. I was surprised that it was relatively inexpensive (for this type of natural product) as well so I popped 2 bottles of it into my basket and bought them. Effectiveness This product is a light conditioner so if you need heavy conditioning, this one might not be for you. I have long, straight, medium hair that is very healthy and cannot use this product every day as it doesn't provide quite enough conditioning, so I use it just a few times a week. This is a good conditioner without a lot of junky additives and does a pretty good job of conditioning. I also believe that it does not have silicones in it so if you are sensitive to 'cones, you should be safe. That said, you will not experience the same "slip" in your hair as silicone-based conditioners. This conditioner is also more pricey than drugstore products, but a little goes a long way so I think the price balances out. Recommended! Scent This product smells heavenly. I'm a huge fan of banana-scented products but they usually smell like fake bananas. Like banana candy. The Body Shop Banana conditioner smells like fresh, ripe bananas and is highly fragranced. The scent is absolutely awesome when in use and I love that. For me, part of the showering and getting ready process is enjoying the colors and scents of my products so this one fits the bill perfectly. The only bummer is that when my hair is dry I cannot smell the banana scent at all.

I. LOVE. THIS. STUFF. It makes my hair feel super soft, and so healthy! I can honestly go twice as long between trims if I want. I do use it in conjunction with the **Banana Shampoo, **but it would probably work well with most others. -I like the way it smells, but I don't think that it is overly banana. I don't think I end up smelling like the islands or anything over the top. -I like that I'm supporting a company like The Body Shop when I use it. They ship using partially recycled cardboard, which makes me feel a little less wasteful, and a lot of the product packaging is easily recycleable as well. They also are big on **fair trade ingredients**, which is important to me. -The only negative I've experienced is that it doesn't seem to function any better when left on longer - the way some conditioners can substitute for a deep conditioner, this one does not. Also, it's current formulation *does contain parabens, *which I didn't expect, and could definitely do without!

I remember the first time that I discovered this product I was just thrilled. Banana is one of my absolutely favorite scents.  I immediately flipped the cap in the store because I just had to get a preview of the scent.  Of course, I was overjoyed by it so I took it home and used it that same night.  Many years later, I am still using this product and I am still addicted to its scent and the way it leaves my hair. My hair is baby fine and in the winter it becomes very dry and sometimes get full of static which makes it a bit unruley.  However, whenever I use this fabulous conditioner it immediately tames my hair and makes it much more manageable.  It doesn't weigh my hair down either like other commercial hair products often do. Having fine hair makes it difficult to even use conditioners, let alone find a great one that works as well as the Body Shop's Banana conditioner does. I have used the Body Shop's banana shampoo and I love that just the same.

I was looking for a more natural conditioner, from a reputable company. I looked through a few review websites and found that The Body Shop Banana Conditioner is a huge seller with the professionals and people into hair-health in general. This stuff smells AMAZING! It smells like a banana flavored now'n'later. It is a translucent-ish shimmery yellow color, and it is very silky. Not heavy, it's just a light conditioner. I need a light conditioner, because though my hair is curly and have loads of volume, it is thin, and with a heavy conditioner it get weighed down. The wet-rat look is not in season.  In the shower it doesn't give your hair a soft feel, because it washes out, unlike some conditioners that stick o your hair to make it feel smooth, this one washes out after it does what it is supposed to.  The smell doesn't stick around either, its a shower only smell, once my hair is dry, I can't smell anything except for my shampoo bar smell.  I like it, it isn't the best I have ever tried, but it is decently priced and will do for now.
