I really enjoy being outside in the summertime and no matter how much sunscreen I put on at some point during the summer I manage to get a bad sunburn on some part of my body. I used to think I just had to suffer through the flaking and peeling and that was it, until I discovered this product. While I still use Solarcaine on my burn the day I experience it, as soon as the burn gets past the "ouch" stage I break out my jar of Aloe Soothing Day Cream and liberally apply it. Since it's fragrance, color, and alcohol free it's just about the most calming cream out there. It's very, very gentle and provides a high level of hydration to dry or sunburned skin without being heavy or greasy. This goes on very lightly and soaks right in. I've noticed that since I've started using this on my sunburns their healing has sped up exponentially and they heal without going through the unfortunate peeling stage. I experience very little flaking or dryness using this about twice a day on effected spots. I definitely recommend this!

The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream is fantastic if you have really dry skin on your face, like I do in the winter, however if your skin is not incredibly dry, this may clog your pores. It feels kind of heavy when you first put it on, however it soaks in and works like a charm. One complaint I do have about The Aloe Soothing Day Cream is that when I put it on after I've used anything from the Seaweed Collection from The Body Shop, my face does tingle a little bit, which is really weird. Ease of Application Sometimes if you're in a warmer situation, you might sweat The Aloe Soothing Day Cream off, but other than that it's fantastic. Scent The Aloe Soothing Day cream is definitely not for smelling good, but most sensitive skin products aren't aiming to smell great. In fact, using natural ingredients will irritate skin far less than anything scented. It's best if used at night, because the next morning your skin feels smooth and moisturized.

I love most of the products that come from The Body Shop, so I was excited to try The Body Shop's Aloe Soothing Day Cream. I was not disappointed with the results. This cream left my skin, which can feel dry during the Midwest winter, feeling hydrated and smooth all day. I also loved the fact that this product has a very subtle scent, unlike some other face creams which can be kind of overwhelming. I also liked the fact that you don't have to use a whole lot of this product at one time, so one container lasts for a long, long time. Another thing that I liked about the Aloe Soothing Day Cream was its all natural ingredients. Over the last few years I have become more and more concerned about the weird chemicals to be found in a lot of fact creams, and this product has none of those things. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a new face cream that is reasonably priced, offers great results and isn't filled with a lot of unnatural chemicals.

I've tried several products from the Body Shop's Aloe line and they are all awesome! I have very sensitive skin and I try to avoid products with parabens and fragrance, so this line is perfect for me. Although there's no fragrance, it does have a natural aloe smell that is refreshing and light. I wish that this product came with an SPF but it is great nonetheless. I use this on days that I know I won't be out in the sun for too long. But, if I do feel like I might get a lot of sun exposure, I will put on a moisturizer with SPF, like Olay. This product is great for guys as well. My husband doesn't like using moisturizers, but he'll use this one because it feels light and doesn't have a strong fragrance while still providing great hydration.

My sister had told me about the body shop products and said they were really really good. They have all natural ingredients, and are very calming for sensitive/acne prone skin. Which is hard to find products for. I definitely loved this day time cream. I tried it in the winter time which was good because I needed the extra moisture. I would definitely use it again. It wasn't greasy. A little bit goes a long way, and the aloe and vitamins really soothe and heal your skin, if you are having any issues. My only con is that the prices are a little higher for someone on a budget. I understand they are natural and they are definitely worth the money, but if you have your own family, and have to budget it's not something that I am buying. Probably only on the holidays or for a splurge. And the rest of the year I use cheaper brands ( clean & clear). But if I did have money as no option I'd buy the whole line and use it all !

I received sample sizes of both versions of *The Body Shop's Aloe Soothing Cream* a year or so ago from a friend who sells the company's products.  I tossed them into the bathroom closet with the rest of the skin care stuff that I already had, so I didn't even think to use them until my skin got super-irritated last week and I was desperate to relieve the angry redness.  *The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream* is a light yet still calming and hydrating cream that easily spreads onto and absorbs into skin.  The ingredients include aloe, glycerin, water, and several other components with chemical names that mean nothing to me.  I received a 0.49 ounce sample jar of this product for free, well, as a sample. I've been very happy with this *Aloe Soothing Day Cream *during the past week or so.  This day cream is lighter than the night version, so it does absorb easily into skin without leaving a slightly-greasy feeling or shine behind.  I've had these angry red patches on my cheeks for the past couple of weeks, but this *Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream* managed to soothe the skin and calm some of the redness.  I don't often have allergic reactions on my skin like these very often, but I will definitely keep a jar of this *Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream* on hand just in case I have to deal with it again.  Recommended! Effectiveness This moisturizer did a great job of hydrating my face without also causing breakout issues. Ease of Application A little goes a long way with this product and it spreads and absorbs easily into skin. Scent The aloe scent is pretty mild and something that anyone can live with.

This is another product I bought for my mom to try out. She just finished her Shiseido day creams and asked me if there were products that would help her dry skin better. I thought this product would help because aloe products usually help with the dryness and helps repair skin. So I bought this for her to try. She has been using this for about a week and so far, she thinks it moisturizes well, she uses this before she applies her sun protection product so she feels that it really helps to hydrate her skin. She notices that it really helps her dry skin especially since the product she uses after the dday cream is an spf product -- which dries out skin. So the day cream really helped! She says that the product is easily smoothed on to her face, but she wished the size was bigger!

My face is incredible sensitive. I often have reactions to most facial lotions and creams, because of the harsh chemicals they contain. However, this is not the case with Aloe Soothing Day Cream from The Body Shop. The cream's formula is gentle and non-irritating, and has a pleasant scent. It is lightweight enough to be worn underneath makeup, and can even be used for spot treating dry spots throughout the day. The mini size of the product is great to carry in your bag for touch-ups! The only issue I have with Aloe Soothing Day Cream from The Body Shop is the packaging. I wish it were in a pump bottle rather than a small, screw-top jar. However, this factor is not a large enough deterrent to keep me from loyally using Aloe Soothing Day Cream from The Body Shop. ! With a lightweight consistency, lack of harsh chemicals in its formula, and an afforable price point, I cannot get enough of this lotion.

I really like this stuff.  As a guy, I've never seen the point in spending so much on lotion and stuff.  I was, however, tired of having cracked and bleeding knuckles in the winter, so a while back I bought some of this stuff.  I've tried all sorts of cheap lotions that didn't work very well, and were very greasy.  This Aloe stuff from Body Shop is not terribly greasy, and really keeps my hands from looking like a desert landscape.  My favorite aspect of this cream is that it has little to no scent. I think it is a bit expensive, but those accustomed to more upscale skin products will probably find it reasonable.  I think only those with incredibly dry skin need this stuff, otherwise it'd be overkill.  I can't really think of any other cons to this product.  I suppose the tub style container is unfortunate.  I'm really too lazy to spin open the cap; when did pump containers become out of style?
