I was introduced to The Blues Brothers when I was 11 years old.  I had never seen it before, and I saw the tail end of it at my grandmother's house on Thanksgiving Day.  It was the scene were Jake (John Belushi) and Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) Blues were being chased by the Nazis, and they miraculously are saved by God after going off a cliff, while the Nazis fall to their deaths.  It was funny, funny stuff, especially given the "we're on a mission from God" tagline that goes throughout the movie.  Since then, I have been in love with the Blues Brothers.

Combining great old school rhythm and blues...

I will never forget watching this movie with two other friends from church in 1982, Memphis, Tennessee when our church had their youth convention. We saw this film, 1941 and Animal House; But out of all of the films, I tend to favor this one the most because of the music which got me to tapping my feet, the adventure, the comedy, the stars etc etc. You just cannot HELP but LOVE this movie.  Saturday Night Live made a great team out of the late John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd; It was a match made in heaven that ended only with Belushi's passing sadly. But this film about a set of brothers Ellwood(Ackroyd)...

The Blues Brothers is a 1980 musical comedy directed by John Landis and starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as "Joliet" Jake and Elwood Blues, characters developed from a "Saturday Night Live" musical sketch. It features musical numbers by R&B and soul legends James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and John Lee Hooker, and car chase scenes.

The story is a tale of redemption for paroled convict Jake and his brother Elwood, who take on "a mission from God" to save from foreclosure the Roman Catholic orphanage in which they grew up. To do so they must re-form their rhythm and blues...

Action, laughter, slap stick comedy and more, the Blues Brothers delivers.  The wonderful lost talent of Jim Bulishi and his friend Dan Akroid  fill the screen with laugh after laugh in this great cult classic.  The music is unsurpassed as those terrific old classic rock tunes keep your toes tapping while your gut is wrenching from all the laughter.  Talk about chase scenes!  The mall shopping experience has not been the same for those who have watched the Blues Brothers speed through and past all of our favorte store fronts carefully putting those "advertising blurbs" into the hilarious script. ...
