I've had this movie from Blockbuster for awhile, just waiting to see it. I had just never gotten around to seeing The 40 Year Old Virgin before, for no particular reason. My teenaged son ended up watching it first, and after that he told me it was good, but definitely not a movie to be watching with... review »

The movies moves well along and is a funny comedy with some romance. Its funny how strange Steve Correll is in this film. He fits the role well and the other characters help the story. Sometimes the movie seemed slow moving and awkward, but as a whole it works. :-)

Funny (though too profane) romantic comedy that works.

The un-rated version is marred by completely over-done and over the top profanity (and I'm no way a prude)

This one is often very funny and surprisingly charming as well. Steve Carrell plays the title character, a nerdish electronics store salesman who has never gotten around to sleeping with a woman, perfectly content to collect super hero action figures.

 Carrell proved he can certainly successfully lead an ensemble comedy and he has some chops as a comic romantic leading man.

It doesn't hurt that Catherine Keener is superb in her role as Trish and the supporting cast is strong, charismatic and...

I saw the previews and it looked really funny...but I was wondering if they showed all the funny parts in the movie clips...boy, was I wrong!

The funniest parts of the movie they couldn't show because of the adult subjects tehy talked about...This was seriously one of the funniest movies I  have seen in a long time..Steve Correll was hilarious!

I would definately reccommend this movie esp. if you need a pick me up!
