a fan of clever plots, movie buff, into movies that tell a great story
This Hallmark entertainment production was a TV miniseries and stars - Dianne Wiest (Evil Queen), Kimberly Willimas (Virginia), John Larroquette (Tony), Scott Cohen (Wolf), Rutger Hauer (The Huntsman), Ed O'Neill (The Troll King). — —
Happily ever after didn't last forever in this modern day fairy tale. Living in New York on the edge of the forest, Virginia and her father, Tony, get sucked into a world of enchantment, danger and adventure. In this land they find the nine kingdoms and meet people taken straight out of a bed time story. In this land of magic they meet an…

a movie lover, into fantasy stories, a child at heart, a dreamer
In 2000 I first saw the 10th Kingdom, an NBC Mini-Series, on TV twice. Then a few years ago my mom got me the DVD set so I can watch it over and over! Minor Plot Details — In New York, we meet Virgina, a 20-something who lives with her dad. In another land far away, a prison escape is in the works! A Troll has come to rescue his sons and ends up helping an evil queen escape. Prince Wendell shows up just in time for her magic to work so that he changes places with a dog. She plans to rule the 9 fairy-tale kingdoms using the now dog-brained Prince as her puppet. However, the…

comedy fan, an infrequent movie goer
The day this was available to order we did. It was so funny to see kids reaction to the "suck and elf", they laughed so hard and we have watched this whole series about 6 times. I am not sure if I would let a younger child watch this as it does have a little violence and suspence but the 9 year olds did…

DVD collector, character-lover
I have always loved The 10th Kingdom! As you watch the movie, you feel as if you are inside their world. The characters are just as loveable as the plot itself! — — Even though it is a bit long (3 + hours), you don't care! Watch as the time flies as the whole family gathers around the TV to watch this wonderful movie!! —…

Mother of 2, Every day computer user, DVD collector, Movie Reviewer, a believer of fate, television buff, a movie guru, comedy fan
This is a movie that many may never have had the chance to come across and a loss for them. A movie although almost 7 hours in length made by Hallmark it is a true work of art. It has fantasy, love, action, fairy tales, trolls, wicked queens and much more. Set in the beginning in the heart of New York where from another dimension a prince that magically gets turned into a dog wanders thru a magic mirror into New York park. When he comes thru the mirror runs into a girl who seems to be just a waitress in a pub and her father. These peole are much more than ordinary as they lead the prince…

a child at heart, Lover of quirky, unique films
This was actually a miniseries that aired back in the 90's about a girl that jumps through an enchanted mirror to discover the land of fairy tales and discovers what actually happens after the "happily ever after" in popular fairy tales such as cinderella and red riding hood. This is best watched in as few segments as possible, but it is 10 hours long so one sitting is hard, even for a lover of the movie such as me. It does start out kinda hokey, I almost turned it off, but don't because it does get better after about an hour into it. That's when it really takes off and you won't be able to…

It's a film thats good for all ages. It's great for any occassion. I cant wait to watch the continuation of it! —…

an infrequent movie goer
I really loved this movie. There are lots of wonderful characters that you cant help but get attached to. This movie has it all, fantasy, humor, drama, action and of course romance. Its a fantasy that is definately geared toward a more adult audience. The movie is long but i enjoyed every bit of it, in fact by the end i was wishing that there were more. Definately one of my…

an infrequent movie goer, waiting for the DVD, watching chick flicks, into action flicks, a comedy fan
Several modern-day 'heros' get swept into a traditional fairy-tale realm. The story is unexpected (though many parts are easy to predict when they follow the fairy-tale style). It is a good movie to watch in pieces (though you may have problems turning the tv off!). One of those classics you can watch again and again- definetally worth buying instead of just…
