This Hallmark entertainment production was a TV miniseries and stars - Dianne Wiest (Evil Queen), Kimberly Willimas (Virginia), John Larroquette (Tony), Scott Cohen (Wolf), Rutger Hauer (The Huntsman), Ed O'Neill (The Troll King).
Happily ever after didn't last forever in this modern day fairy tale. Living in New York on the edge of the forest, Virginia and her father, Tony, get sucked into a world of enchantment, danger and adventure. In this land they find the nine kingdoms and meet people taken straight out of a bed time story. In this land of magic they meet an unlikely allie, a mischevious half wolf named Wolf who falls head over heels in love with Virginia.
In a twist of fairy tale fate, the Evil Queen has swapped the place of her pet dog with that of Prince Wendell in an effort to take over all nine kingdoms. Now in an effort to save the princely canine, his kingdom and find a way back home, Tony and Virginia are led across magical lands by their cunning guide, Wolf, who also has a secret.
On their journey through the nine kingdoms they travel through the kingdom of the trolls, a beanstalk forest, kissing town, and a magical swamp. They come across a magic fish that turns anything into gold with an interesting outcome, an axe that cuts anything which is owned by an intriguing character and a singing ring that goes to the depths of an ocean and back for love.
The 10th Kingdom is full of bravery, daring heroics, and painful sacrifices. This is a great, magical adventure to watch over and over again.
