When you get seated you get hot rolls and cinnamon butter to hold you over. They have an average variety of sides and appetizers. The skewered shrimp appetizer is my favorite. And their chili is some of the best I've tasted. It's great with cheese on top. For main courses, you can get several different things including ribs, but steak is their specialty. You can even choose your own steak from a display by the entrance. Their steaks are never overdone. If you ask for medium, you get medium. And the cut is always perfect. I've never had a steak there that was too fatty or less than simply delicious.
The service is almost always great too. The servers are generally attentive and willing to help you out with any questions or requests. Management is good about making themselves known, often going around the restaurant and talking to the diners at their tables, ensuring a good experience.
Prices are very reasonable. You can get a good meal for two, including drinks for about twenty dollars, or splurge on the best steak you can get.
Texas Roadhouse is my favorite restaurant to eat at, and for good reason. It's not very often that you find good food, good service, and a fun environment, all at a good price.
